The Osburum Magistri is believed to be rooted out by the Emperors two centuries ago, but continues on in a secret cabal between the three great mages: The Emperor Lucius, The Archmage Valerian, and the Arch Lich Arthas. This cabal is an uneasy triumverate that keeps a tenuous piece throughout the Imperium in order to prevent another War of the Magi.
